PIXELATION
N.M
N.F

Visual degradation of an image caused by too low a resolution, making the pixels that compose it visible. It generally occurs when a raster image is magnified beyond its original definition.

Use case: When printing a kakemono in 120 x 180 cm, a visual provided in 72 dpi generated marked pixelation. The file had to be reworked in high resolution to ensure a clean rendering.
