SMUDGE
N.M
N.F

Printing defect caused by the unintentional transfer of wet ink to another sheet or an unprinted area. It can occur during processing, storage or machine operation, especially if the drying time is insufficient or if the pressure is incorrectly adjusted.

Use case: Smudge marks appeared on the clear areas of a full color printed case, due to stacking too quickly after offset printing. A drying period would have made it possible to avoid this transfer of ink.
