Surface finishing
N.M
N.F

Treatment applied to the surface of a paper to modify its appearance or mechanical properties. It can be made during the manufacturing phase (satin paper, glossy paper, etc.) or as a post-print finish (varnishing, lamination, metallization...). Surfacing affects the brilliance, roughness, strength or adhesion of the ink.

Use case: For a cosmetic case, metal-surfaced paper was used to create a mirror effect on certain areas of the packaging, reinforcing the impact on the shelf.
