CHINAPOBLANO

CINEMATIC MOTION

When décor becomes narrative

The question wasn’t technical. It was narrative.

Chinapoblano, chef José Andrés’s restaurant, carries a Sino-Mexican fusion promise in an interior as bold as the menu. The brief: create a welcome video that sets the tone before the first bite. How to turn a space already saturated with visual signs into a fluid, captivating film, without betraying the existing identity?

About this project

Add nothing. Everything’s already there. Make it move.

A visual journey that precedes the culinary one. Every interior element comes to life: letter mosaic morphs into the bar’s pattern, bicycle wheels turn into chopsticks, plates spin, motifs animate. Visual metamorphoses creating optical illusions. The restaurant’s graphic design becomes the film’s narrative thread. Continuous loop, ready to play endlessly.

The solution

Problem solved. By Design.

1 loop, 0 breaks

A film designed as a continuous loop, ready to play endlessly and welcome every guest.

2 cultures, 1 narrative

Sino-Mexican fusion translated into visual language. Every transition is a bridge between two worlds.

100% existing décor

No added graphic elements. The entire film is built from the restaurant’s identity and interior design.

The result

Expertise: Art Direction · Narrative Concept · Storyboarding · Graphic Animation · Motion Design · Sound Design
